As we’re approaching the end of a (very) slow spring and summer season, we’re getting more and more excited about the upcoming fall season of Real Life Real Music! Starting in September, we’ve got two consecutive weeks of Wednesday night shows, featuring Chris Knight on September 23rd and Bruce Robison with Kelly Willis on September 30th. Then, we have one date following on October 28th, with the one and only Aaron Watson! Now, to get acquainted with the artists…
Chris Knight
Our first guest opening up the fall season is Chris Knight, an American singer-songwriter from Kentucky, known for his “stories of the rocky emotional landscape of ordinary lives,” sung in a warm, recognizable voice. Though he has a loyal audience of his own, he’s also had wild success with well known country artists covering his songs, such as Randy Travis, Blake Shelton, Montgomery Gentry and more. If you love direct, heartfelt lyrics, this is the show for you!
Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis
Friends of the show, Bruce and Kelly are a husband and wife duo that have really made a name for themselves in the Texas country music scene- both together and individually. Each acclaimed songwriters in their own right, they truly enjoy performing together. Their fourth collaborative project, a duets album called ‘Beautiful Lie,’ was released last year. We can’t wait to hear some of these songs live, along with some fan-favorites from each of their catalogs!
Aaron Watson
From the iconic Amarillo, Texas, Aaron Watson is the definition of a good old country boy. His songwriting honors tradition, but continues to push the limits of classic country music. Watson has been in the music scene since 1999, after releasing his first album, appropriately titled ‘Singer/Songwriter.’ Since then, he’s released over ten studio albums, his most recent being ‘Red Bandana,’ in 2019. The album is made up of “tracks and musical moods that hit on every era of his life.” Come out and hear some of these tunes live and in person!
